Amazing film, amazing feelings you get as a man and as an athlete when you see greatness mixed with tramatic loss. Most of the film landed on fiction still it makes you feel pride in the people who work hard, persevere, and stand for whats right. I've seen the movie countless times and just want to say how much I enjoy it. Rest In Peace Gerry, best of luck with the foundations running in his memory Sarmento Gouveia Jr.

We have just watched the movie again. It is the one movie we can watch over and over again ... as if we were watching for the first time! The healing between races that went on then is still a certain example for us in 2012.

Gerry Bertier was a great guy and a good friend. He had a strong spirit and a love of life. His spirit lives on as we come to the year 2012. I hope to get involved with the foundation this coming year, and encourage everyone to give.

Gerry was an extraordinary athlete and from all I've gathered even a better human being. He had a great fire about him even now it's not extinguished. I just wish his site wasn't so dark with black being the main color used. He brings life into others though his victories, memories, trials and accomplishments. I wish his site's appearance showed that.

Heard about this inspirational man through the movie 'remember the titans' and this has given me a motivation to succeed and do well in life to grab life full on and not let anything stop you. Gerry Bertier I salute your braveness and determination its just sad you were taken down in your prime.

"Remember The Titians" and Gerry Bertier are two names that will go down in history. I show the movie "Remember the Titians" to my English class each term. I use the movie to motivate my students to let them know they can achieve their dreams and write their own success story. I hate that Mr. Bertier's life was cut short but he left an amazing story for generations to come to be inspired by.

Gerry was my best friend, and is my Angel...I can tell you... Knowing him from 1975, and having met his dear Mom, he was indeed a blessing! I love Gerry Bertier!
