THE GERRY BERTIER #42 FOUNDATION®™
(FOR SPINAL CORD INJURY RESEARCH)

Gerry Bertier's name has been known in sports media well before the movie, "Remember the Titans." Gerry's name stemmed from more than just "Football" and "Basketball" but, one who did a lot to, "Smooth the cross-town rivalries that existed among players who, for the first time, were competing for the honor of one high school team." -- Linda Chion, reporter

Latest reporting states (as of August 3, 2006) "Gerry Bertier was one of the best players and leaders on a team known as perhaps the best in the history of Virginia high school football — the 1971 T.C. Williams Titans." - Rich Sanders, Alexandria Gazette

What is "The Gerry Bertier #42 Foundation"

Gerry's foundation is accepting donations in order to further the research on spinal cord injuries. People throughout the United States have inquired about Gerry and have increasingly been brought to attention, the fact that Gerry went way beyond his football career, that had been featured in "Remember the Titans." Gerry visited hospitals to help current patients cope with their accidents and because of his dedication to assisting the "physically unable" by visiting hospitals, brought forth handicap access ramps.
